Any item sold from the showcase or ordered as a complete/finished piece of jewelry is appraised at no charge.  There is a charge to appraise any repair or custom designed piece.  If we sell the center stone, then there is no charge.  "Simply Gold" items are without stones and items like bangles, bracelets, rope chains, hoop earrings, etc that are sold by weight.
